SCCS COVID-19 Announcement

In these uncertain times, we felt it important to make a public statement regarding Second Chance Cardiac Solutions and our response to the COVID-19 crisis.  Solutions are part of our name and our mission is to increase survivability and second chances for people who experience a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA.) Unfortunately, the incidence of SCA does not decrease when people “shelter in place.” In fact, statistics show that greater than 80% of SCAs outside of the hospital occur at home. It is imperative that First Responders and other public service organizations are equipped with AED supplies and PPE to continue to support our communities in this aspect.  Maintaining our status as a safe and stable link in the supply chain is a solution that will ultimately work for the greater good.

As a life-safety company, while we cannot cease operations entirely, we are doing our part to flatten the curve by responding in the following manner:

  •     Team members are following all guidelines prescribed by the CDC.
  •     Any team member with symptoms will immediately self-quarantine.
  •     Site visits have been restricted but if absolutely needed team members will adhere to client’s COVID-19 plan
  •     Packages are quarantined in a holding area upon arrival for appropriate time frames.
  •     Frequent, thorough handwashing protocol is enforced.
  •     Work surfaces and other common surfaces are sanitized frequently with approved disinfectants.
  •     Discounted blended options for training courses will be offered to accommodate staff requiring CPR and/or First Aid certifications.  Hands-on classes can be completed up to 90 days after initial online portion.

We are committed to protecting the health of our staff, our clients, our communities and the nation. We greatly appreciate Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and Healthcare Professional that continuously put themselves at risk to ensure our safety and well-being. We no longer take for granted brave workers keeping the supply chain going to serve our daily needs at home and for the community services that provide to those who cannot care for themselves.

We wish you and your loved ones safety from harm, faith in the decision makers, patience as we deal with this unexpected crisis, and peace in the realization of what is truly important in our lives.

Warm regards,

Elizabeth Heriaud
President, Second Chance Cardiac Solutions, Inc.
