Second Chance Cardiac Solutions Instructor Training
Do you have the desire to teach others how to save lives? Once you have been trained in life-saving skills in a First Aid or CPR AED course, you may want to share this knowledge with the world. Consider becoming an AHA instructor and "pay it forward" by teaching your co-workers, working for a CPR Training organization, or simply deepening your understanding of the skills.
We offer a comprehensive Instructor Training Program that provides the knowledge and experience needed to become a competent and confident instructor. In order to participate, you must hold a current certification in the level of discipline in which you desire to teach. (Heartsaver providers can teach Heartsaver courses, etc.)
We take great pride in developing and mentoring our instructors. Training to become an instructor will not make someone an expert on the subject matter taught, but you will learn to be a proficient instructor. Expertise in subject matter is acquired over time, but fortunately expert knowledge in the subject is not a requirement. AHA courses are video-based, offering plenty of step-by-step guidance as you facilitate the course and motivate the students. Through our mentoring program, support is provided until a comfort level is established and continues as you expand your curriculum as a seasoned veteran.
We are currently accepting instructor candidates. If your workplace has a group to train, we can offer a class specific to your organization. Are you a Healthcare Provider with a current AHA BLS Certification?
Consider becoming a BLS Instructor to guide others in implementation of the 2015 CPR /ECC updates or take advantage of more frequent training intervals, with use of feedback devices and manikins that can optimize performance of CPR. BLS instructors can also teach Heartsaver First Aid, CPR AED and Bloodborne Pathogens courses to share your experience and knowledge with a wide variety of students eager to learn.
